Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

We have a new "Weather related challenge" this week on Mo's and with all the fabulous Mo images to choose from you should definitely not be short of what to use or short for inspiration as the dt have done their usual style of fabulous!!
for my card i used Janie in July available HERE, i do love that sweet little smile and the dripping hair, i also gotta admit that for the bright paper i used my coloring turned out a bit wishy washy in the photo's, ah well!
i added that banner across the top just cos i thought it would be a fun addition and the soft ribbon in the hope that it would complement the soft colors of the image
do join in the fun on our challenge this week, look forward to seeing all the weather inspired projects

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

Our newest challenge for Mo's challenge blog starts today and this week its "World Traveller"
Now before you shoot me and say that my fairy is not a world traveller, think again!! we have tooth fairies that travel the world so why not pink fairies? lol
i have used one of the Baby Fairies available from here and let me just say, this all came together while chatting to dt leader and sistah Pat Frank on skype, so any complaints or referals take it up with her, lol.

I just loved using this fairy and can see myself using her again very soon, i got a little carried away with the stickles and of course the Pink!! cant help myself, whats a girl to do with her weakness.
i hope this will inspire you to join us on our challenge this week at Mo's and i cant wait to see what world travellers you come up with

paper shelter dt

We have a new challenge for you on the Paper Shelter that you just gonna love, "BLING" ooh a girl loves a bit of the ol bling.
I havent made one of these pocket cards in a long while and had actually forgotten that i ever had made one till i was looking through some of my old work and found another, so this is probably only the second time i have made one of these.  I thought it would work really well with this card as i have quite a few birthdays to catch up with.
So for my card i used the Patisier in Distress available at The Paper Shelter shop here and since we are talking bling i added loads to the cake and a touch to the card.
Whilst digging through my ribbon i came across a whole roll of this vintage ribbon that popped out at me and went perfectly with my paper.
the girls on the dt have all done a fabulous job on the bling this week and i hope that you"ll be inspired to join our challenge.
have a great week

Mo's Dp 2 challenge dt

I know i am veryyyyy late with this post, in actual fact if i hadnt spoken to my friendly reminder this evening on skype i would have clean forgotten.  I did have a kinda hectic day with the kids and teaching scrapbooking this morning so thats the excuse i am going with.
For our challenge this week on Mo's challenge blog its a "Circle" challenge, and i love doing shaped cards so this was just what i needed to get the ol mojo flowing.
I also found this fabby paper with bubbles all over it, the paper is a really old one from about ten years ago, Karen Foster design, so sorry i doubt you will find it anywhere i was just lucky to have this sheet in amongst all my outdated paper.  I loved how it worked with this delightful "in the bath" image available HERE
i added loads of dew drops to look like bubbles, think i went somewhat over board with these, and the sentiment did it for me as we all played with ducks in the bath and being just ducky is kinda the same as being Grand!!! LOL
thats it for me this week folks we have a busy weekend planned with loads of guests for lunch after synagogue on Saturday so see you next week

P.S:  am gonna enter this into the challenge on Sassy Cheryl where the challenge is anything but square.

Mo's dp challenge dt

This week on Mo's challenge blog we picking up the pace and challenging you to some "Humour"
Now dont be intimidated, i certainly was, lol.  When it comes to this kinda thing, it is just not in my comfort zone, not to say i dont have a sense of humour, you can ask those who know me, but to think of what to do for a card, just sent me in a spin.

So what i came up with is not really new, as you can see from the inside of my card its a sentiment thats already out there.  I printed it off on the pc.
A closer view of my image:
this paper is from Graphics 45, love this, and used both sides cos they are equally beautiful.  The centre for my ribbon i bought at the NEC a couple of years ago, i just added the pearly centre.
Used my much neglected MS punch for the border and the die that i used for my image is an Xcut die that i got from Country crafts SA.  All the other bits and bobs i have in my stash.

Before i forget dontcha just love those leaves, i do!  they are a Nellie Snellen punch and emboss combo.
Ok enough gabbing, do join our challenge on Mo's and dont forget to use one of her fabulous images.
have a great weekend

TOMIC challenge dt

The new challenge on TOMIC has officially begun and this week its BINGO!!!!
Boy did i have a hard time trying to decide, i am not a fan of "Yellow"  however i didnt have everything that would be required if i chose another line, so Yellow it was for me.
I decided to use the " wizard Tilda"  i just love this image the possibilities are endless for this darling.
The edge star border, flourish and the edge of my rosette are all made using doohickeys.
I gave most everythinga  good going over with stickles diamond and star dust for the glittah, stitched around the edge of my distressed edge and added this cute little pearl stars that i found at one of the wholesale suppliers last week.
I gotta add that even although yellow is never my color of choice i am happy with the end product as the glittah made me a very happy person, we all love the odd bit of bling.
have a great week and enjoy our challenge

for my card today i used Spring Swing available here, love this sweet whimsical image.  Colored her with my copics of course, he he.

The paper i used is a newish one from Kaisercraft "these days collection.
Added the pre-requisite flowers that i love to add to my cards, but i did feel that this beautiful image could hold its own on a card.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with using these fabulous images

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

We have our new challenge for Mo's challenge blog up and running, this week its "Anything goes with the optional extra of the above sketch.  I decided to go with the sketch, just flipped it to suit what i wanted to do.
this "Buds" image available in Mo's store has gotta be one of my favourites of Mo's images as i have used it quite a few times, i just love it!
A look at my simple inside of my card.  i used a new Xcut shape for the postage style matting of my image and insert inside my card, added a few buttons and was quite pleased with the end result.  I have been trying to concentrate on using some of the older things in my craft room and noticed that my MS border punches are looking rather neglected, ie:  gathering a bit of dust, so i blew this one off that i forgot the name of to use on my card.
ok friends thats it from me, i am exhausted, my husband is away on business and i am up at all ungodly hours of the morning, when we all should be having a lay in, no rest for the dying in this house, so i am really tired after a week of running after the kids and playing taxi.
See y"all next week
